Helmut Hutterer
Helmut’s career started in 2001 when he joined neo software as QA Manager. At neo software, which became Rockstar Vienna in 2003, he was responsible for building and leading the QA team. In the summer of 2006 Helmut co- founded Team Vienna and shipped a commercial game as designer and producer.
After that he joined a small group of ex-colleagues as QA Manager at the newly founded company Games That Matter, which was acquired by Deep Silver in 2008. In 2008, after almost eight years in QA, he started a project as producer.
His most recently shipped titles include “Cursed Mountain” and his work on the “Max Payne” and the “Grand Theft Auto” series. During his career he worked on 13 different titles, on seven different platforms.
Barbara Fux
Barbara studied product- & project management and started her career in the game industry in 2005 as QA Manager at Xendex Holding GmbH. There she was responsible for the set up of the departments Quality Assurance and Delivery where they tested their selfproduced games and delivered mobile content to customers. After almost 2 ½ years she decided to change from mobile games to consoles and started at Deep Silver Vienna. It was her job to set up and lead the QA department. She was also responsible for managing different internal and external QA departments as well as writing testplans and –cases, not to forget Hands-On-testing of their games. During her time Cursed Mountain for Wii and PC was released. Her track record also includes two not yet released triple A titles and various mobile games such as FMX III Hardcore, Icy Tower ME or Flatout.
Wolfgang Deutsch
After some time as a database programmer in the flight security industry, Wolfgang started working in the games industry in 2001. At Neo Software, which would soon turn into Rockstar Vienna, he spent his time writing C++ code for various console titles, specifically Max Payne 1+2 as well as a then unannounced project. After the closure of Rockstar Vienna in 2006, Wolfgang became self-employed and provided his services to various companies, some of which had risen from the ashes of Rockstar Vienna.
Martin Schreiber
Martin started working in the game industry in 2008 as Junior Tester at Deep Silver Vienna in the Quality Assurance Department. He was credited for “Cursed Mountain” (Wii & PC) and was also working on two unreleased AAA-Projects.
Since 2004, Martin has been studying at the University of Technology in Vienna and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. During his educational years, he practiced his skills by creating a number of small games. He and a colleague even released one of these games, “Bounce”, publicly in 2009.
Andreas Poppernitsch
After 3 years of working as a freelancer for several international online companies and gaining experience in web design and php application engineering Andreas joined Socialspiel in late October 2010. He started studying computer science focussing on computer graphics and media at the University of Technology in Vienna in autumn 2004. In cooperation with Martin he released the skill-based flash game “Bounce” in 2009.
